Ben is very involved in the Pittsburgh legal and charitable communities.
Ben has been named a Rising Star by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers® each year since 2015. The Rising Star category consists of a selection of top lawyers who are under the age of 40 or who have been in practice for 10 years or less, as nominated and selected by their peers.
Ben is an active member of the Allegheny County Bar Association's Young Lawyer's Division, where he currently serves as the Division's treasurer and council member. He has also chaired various committees, including the Membership Outreach Committee and the Member Services Committee. He also serves as a board member of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation, and was a 2017 inductee into the ACBF's Fellow's Program.
He is also a Board Member of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, an organization focused on agressively protecting Pennsylvania citizens’ rights. He is also a member of the organization's Future Leaders section.
Ben lives on Pittsburgh's Northside and is committed to supporting his community. He served for over six years on the Board of the West Park Court Housing Corporation, a 110-unit, HUD-subsidized apartment building for the elderly on the Northside. Ben was the President of the Board for over two years.
He is also a Factory Fellow and Factory 500 Member of The Mattress Factory Museum, a Northside institution. Founded in 1977, the Mattress Factory is a contemporary art museum and experimental lab featuring site-specific installations created by artists in residence from around the world. Ben is also actively involved in supporting the Allegheny YMCA, one of the few remaining YMCAs that serves as a both a fitness and community center, while also providing residential housing for men.
